Experience:
August
2003 - December 2003 Visiting
Fellow at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Tata Institute
of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. There I taught a course on the social
context of education and conducted research.
February
2000 - July 2003 Research
Associate with Eklavya at its Hoshangabad field centre. There I was
conducting a participative field study on local modes of public action,
and working toward a fundamental rethinking of civic education. Other
major areas of activity included the design of culturally relevant
curricula and teaching/learning materials in Civics, teacher training,
running village libraries, computer aided learning, computers in local
development, science education through tv, etc.
1996 - 2000 Assistant Professor / Assistant Director at the Academic
Staff College, JNU (ad-hoc 1996-98). My duties involved executive
charge
of the the Academic Staff College, organizing courses, lecturing, etc.
I gave classes on the anthropology of higher education in India,
research methods and the use of computers and internet for research.

Delhi. M.Phil., too, under Avijit Pathak.
