Welcome to our Web site!
We are a research group in the physics department and the
materials science programme of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Our
interests are in the broad area of experimental condensed matter physics
with emphasis on using spectroscopy tools such as Raman scattering to probe
the nanoscale dynamics in novel and interesting materials. Some of the
materials we are interested in are strongly correlated materials such as
manganites, ruthenates and low dimensional systems such as semi-conducting
nanowhiskers and rods. We hope to keep you informed about our activities,
interests and new developments in our lab located in The Advanced Center for
Materials Science. These pages will also give a glimpse of facilities
available in our labs. If you feel that there is some equipment in our labs
