Kanpur is well connected through Rail, Road and Air link. IIT Kanpur is located on Delhi-Kolkata GT Road about 16 Kms from Kanpur Central Railway Station. Taxi (Rs. 150-170) and auto (Rs. 90-100) services are available from the railway station on hire. The nearest airport is in Lucknow (90 KM). Direct Taxis (about Rs. 1000-1400) from Lucknow Airport to IIT Campus are available on hire.
 

Accommodation and Campus Facilities

Accommodation is arranged for the participants at the Visitors' Hostel (VH), the institute's Guest House, for six nights beginning 29th September, 2007. STD facility is available at Visitors' Hostel on payment basis. The participants would have limited access to internet / e-mail from the campus. All rooms in the VH have LAN access. You may bring your LAN cord for convenience. We would provide guest login facility to access internet from the VH rooms.

A Rail reservation facility is available inside the campus through a Rail reservation centre. The campus has a shopping complex within easy reach from VH. On your arrival, please follow instructions at the the Main Gate security to reach Visitors' Hostel.
