About

Presently, I am a Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IITK) Kanpur, India. I received my master's degree (MTech) in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India. My current research area is computational and experimental investigation of multiscale transport phenomena during alloy solidification. It involves the development of computational tools (CFD) in a C++ based opensource platform-OpenFOAM and the development of an experimental laboratory with like Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF), High-speed Imaging facilities.

Research Interests

Alloy solidification; Casting; Welding; Additive manufacturing; Thermal energy storage; Thermal spray coatings; CFD; Experimentation using PIV, PLIF, High-speed imaging.
