DRAWING PROCEDURE OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMP CASING
The drawing given by the KBL company can be drawn into 3d geometry using PRO/E
package .The package has various built in commands to draw the 2D drawing and 3D models.
Here we are including 2 portions of the model drawing procedures
The drawing can be divided into 5 major sections:
The key partof casing is the volute section.we have taken a curve of given radius and
this is into 12 partsto get the varying cross -section of the volute with the help of
SWEPT BLEND command
After getting the volute section we did the curved sections on both sides of the casing
with the help of revolve command with the given dimensions.
the model drawing is drawn 1:1scale for all given dimensions.
