Logical Description

Authentic user registration

First of all user has to get registered (Reg. form)before he does any sort of transactions. So we'll maintain a database of his records (sample), password. Since auction involves real business we don't want our users to be doing it for fun. Hence a user can register only if it has authentic mail id .

Creating an agent

We ask the user to fill in the search form that initiates his agent with information.

Synonym Generation using Wordnet

The agent generates the synonyms of all the keywords specified using database generated using wordnet. Like in the present case with information, the synonyms generated are these.

Search and Bidding Process

The agent uses ebay search engine to get the main search query file.
Now we filter the URL's from this main page.
Now we fetch these URL's using wget. The Description files obtained are like this.
Now we've to filter these Description files to select the best ones. The algorith used is The Vectored Approach. This part is extremely important and it's most difficult to implement it as we haven't come across a fool proof search system. After search for the first time the agent doesn't stop but keeps on going to the site again & again with time delay (algorithm) till time specified by user hasn't reached. Also we take the price variation specified by the user also into account here . We use an efficient method for eliminating the load on the server due to time search.
Lastly we give user the best results of search by email. It is taken into account that the user gets only the updation of the previously send results if it is there else it doesn't receive it. But the new results might be there too.
