    1.              Plenary Talk: Globalization, ICT Revolution and Socio-Cultural Changes in India: Sociological Explorations, presented the ISA RC 10 organized International conference on Democratic Partcipation in Employment and Societal Regulation, at Ecole Normal Superior de Cachan, Paris, France, during 27-30, June 2011. 


    2.              Attended the XVII World Congress of Sociology (of the International Sociological Association) at Gothenburg, Sweden, during July 11-17, 2010, and presented a co-authored (With S Panda) paper entitled: Contemporary Tribal resistance Movements in Orissa: Debate on Development and Displacement, in RC 48, session entitled: Collective Mobilization by the Development Induced Displaced 


    3.              Attended the Virginia Tech organized Annual Conference of the (4S) Society for the Social Studies of Science, (the global professional body of S&T policy researchers) at Arlington, Washington DC, USA during OCT 27 –NOV 1, 2009 with full financial support of IITKanpur. Paper entitled (presented): 

    Science Technology and Social inequality in India: A Socio-historical Perspective. 



    4.              Attended the 16th World Congress of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) at the University of Yunan Kunming, China during July 27-31, 2009 with Full Financial support from the IUAES and presented the paper entitled: Indigenous vision and Sustainable Development in the Panel: Indigenous Knowledge for Ecological Resource Management.

    Chaired the technical session entitled: Traditional Forest related knowledge and Forest Resource Conservation, and was discussant to the technical session:  Shifting Cultivation and agricultural Production Management .
