Research Interests:

1.  Experimental study on compressible vortex rings: Flow velocity      measurements in circular and non-circular vortex rings using Particle      Image Velocimetry (PIV), Time-Resolved PIV (TRPIV) and Hotwire. Flow      visualization using high speed Schlieren system in supersonic flow.
2.  Aeroacoustics of supersonic vortices during evolution and interaction.
3.  Impinging jet flow studies for GSLV MK-III. Flow and acoustic field during      initial startup, interaction with the reflected shock and interaction with the      deflector.
4.  Flapping wing aerodynamics: Birdís flight and Butterfly flight: Unsteady      leading edge vortex (LEV) dynamics.
5.  Analytical and experimental studies of unsteady pipe flow: Instability and      Transition.
6.  Fire propagation in confined spaces: Experimental study with PIV and PLIF.
