This group is headed by Dr. Rajeev Gupta, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Materials Science Program at IIT Kanpur. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in physics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi in 1991. After completing his Master's in physics from IIT Kanpur he carried out his doctoral thesis work at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Subsequently he has carried out post-doctoral work at Universite Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI), Paris, Pennsylvania State University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He joined IITKanpur in October 2005. His research group at present consists of many undergraduate and graduate students pursung different projects related to synthesis and study of novel materials.
