LABORATORY DEVELOPMENT

Installation of a three channel hot wire anemometer with PC- based data acquisition for turbulence measurements in stratified shear flows. Development of software for automatic data
collection, probe calibration, data reduction and turbulence statistics.

Installation and assembly of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with 35 mW He-Ne laser and 6 inch optics for studies in buoyancy- driven convection. Development of software for image
acquisition, noise removal, fringe analysis, refraction errors and uncertainty analysis on an image pocessing system.

Installation of a laser-Schlieren system for temperature measurement in flames.

Upgradation of an existing low speed wind tunnel with a variable-speed servo-controlled motor and an experimental chamber.

Installation of a PC-controlled wavemaker in Hydraulics laboratory, Department of Civil Engineering.

PC-based measurement systems for determination of oil and air viscosities.
