Mahendra K. Verma

I am a physicist working in the area of turbulence and nonlinear dynamics.  My primary interests are convective turbulence, magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence, liquid metals, nonlinear dynamics, high-performance computing etc.   For details on our work, refer to our group page

I am also involved in teaching at undergraduate and graduate level. Recently I wrote two books Introduction to Mechanics which is at the level of first year college students in science and engineering stream, and Physics of Buoyant Flows: From Instabilities to Turbulence, which is a graduate level book.

In 2009 we hosted a turbulence conference. Details here.  We conducted an HPC symposium in 2012. Details here.

I am also interested in school education and belong to some voluntary groups namely Jagriti Bal Vikas Samiti.
