EASE-Grid DMSP SSM/I Brightness Temperature data procured from the NOAA/NASA Pathfinder program was used to study the time series variation of many land and sea surface geophysical parameters like TPW, LPW, SD, SWE etc for the Indian Subcontinent.

Several utilities have been developed through in-house programming in C for SSM/I data processing. Utilities included functionality to read the data from CD, calculate weekly, monthly and yearly averages, create MapInfo exchange files for import into MapInfo GIS for display and analysis in vector format.
