Dr. R.P. Singh elected as Vice President, IUGG GeoRisk Commission.
Dr. R.P Singh has become member of editorial board for "International Journal of Remote Sensing".

Dr. R.P. Singh has become Corresponding Editor, EOS Transcation published weekly by the American Geophysical Union 2003-2005.
Dr. R.P. Singh is the Main Scientific Organiser for a session on "Early Warning of Natural Hazards Using Space Technology"during COSPAR General Assembly to be held in Paris, France during July 18-25, 2004.
Dr. R.P. Singh has become the Chairman, IAF Committee on Natural Disaster and Reduction. He has coordinated session on Natural Disaster during IAF Assembly held in Breeman, Germany in October 2003 and will coordinate a session in Vancouver, August 2004.
Mr. Sagnik Dey - a Ph.D. student has attended SOLAS Workshop in France during June 30 - July 11, 2003.
Mr. Siddharth Yadav defended his M.Tech. thesis entitled,"Sediment Yield Model For Bhakra Nangal Dam Using Remote Sensing Data" during May 2003.
Mr. C.S. Bhuiyan is now returned from Germany after working with his co-supervisor for 18 months at the University of Jena, and he is now trying to submit his Ph.D. thesis.
Mr. Sagnik Dey attended ENVISAT training course organised by EU at Frascati, Italy during August 2003.
Mr. Netramani Harijan gave an Invited talk on behalf of Prof. R.P. Singh at NIRD, Hyderabad during August 18-20, 2003.
Prof. R.P. Singh and Mr. Netramani Harijan attended the XXIII General assembly of IUGG held at Sapporo, Japan as one of the members of the Indian Delegation during June 30 - July11, 2003.
Mr. Netramani Harijan is selected in Ph.D. program at the University of Western Ontairo, London, Canada and will be joining on January 2004.
Mr. Prasanjit Dash alumini of this lab received Best Letter award by the International Journal of Remote Sensing.
Mr. Prasanjit Dash submitted his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Karlsrhe, Germany.
