Hi! I'm Samrat Sohel Mondal,

an aborning physicist, with experience in soft condensed matter, scientific computing and image analysis.

My interests

My current research interests are in the following systems

Stochastic Games

Exciting interdisciplinary topics of research in complex systems, such as evolution of cooperation in stochastic games.

Chaos

I am also interested in gaining insights into the nature and the significance of chaos in various dynamical systems.

Brownian Dynamics

Brownian dynamics is a computer simulation method, which I have used to simulate active particles in complex viscoelastic systems.

Image Analysis

I am interested in the extraction of meaningful information from images. Mainly from digital images by means of digital image processing techniques.

Here’s some stuff I worked on recently.

Trajectory of simulated Active Particles(APs) in complex vicoelastic fluids. Frequency dependent dynamics of APs in a simulated medium is studied. Mean Squared Displacement(MSDs) are calculated which are useful to gain insights of AP dynamics in complex mediums.

Image of a sessile drop

To investigate interaction between complex surface and drop. Sample image was taken by Meenaxi Sharma (IITK)

After analysis

Sample image was then passed through a proper code to extract useful data from it.
