Procedure for Starting the Remote Tensile Testing Equipment

The procedure for testing on the Lloyd’s Universal Testing Machine is given below:

1. Start the program named “Lr Lrx Console”.
2. Place the sample inside the Grips of the Lloyd’s Testing Machine by adjusting the cross-ead up and down.
3. Now reset the force and distance to zero by clicking the “Reset ” button.
4. Open the folder named “Lloyd’s sw” and select “tensile 2”.
5. Select the “Insert New Test” from the toolbar on the top.
6. In the new window which has opened up, enter the parameters of speed, gauge length and area along with the samples name.
7. Press the “Start test ” buttonin the toolbar.
8. Press “OK” in the “sample information”.
9. To stop the test in between press the red STOP button in the toolbar.
10. When you get the graph, right click on it and click Data Point Export.
11. Select the data you want to export and click “Export to File”.
12. Save it at any location as a .txt file.
