The Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur,
will host the National String Theory Workshop, 2005, during
October 9th to 16th, 2005.

The purpose of the workshop is to gather string theorists working in
India and abroad with the objective of enhancing research in string
theory and providing an environment leading to collaborative work.
The workshop is expected to involve seminars on current frontline
areas of research in string theory. There will also be some short
seminars, mainly by younger participants, on their research work.
