HIGH ACCURACY SCHEMES AND GIBB'S PHENOMENON

Abstract

Compact differential schemes have been analyzed and new ones proposed to solve problems that require very high spectral resolution, numerical stability and DRP property. New schemes have been developed by optimizing the error when the full domain is considered. We have also studied the performance of one of the schemes in capturing discontinuous solutions for the Burgers' equations.
