I am Pranay Mohta, currently a research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, doing my research work in experimental quantum optics in the group of Prof.Anand kumar jha (link to homepage). I am financially supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India under the Prime Minister’s Research Fellows scheme. I can be contacted at pmohta@iitk.ac.in.
My research is centered on the study of coherence and quantam entaglement properties of optical fields, with a particular focus to develop experimental techniques for encoding quantum information onto the two-photon coherence function and retrieving the information after free-space propagation in order to discover feasible methods for quantum secure communications and quantum metrology in noisy environments. . Currently I am trying to develop the classical counterpart of the two-photon case.
