Conceptualised and developed the National Information Centre of Earthquake Engineering at IIT Kanpur with the objective of dissemination of information and literature and capacity building against earthquake disasters. The Centre operates without any budget from government sources, and is funded entirely by donations, interest of the endowment, sale of publications and sponsorships. Total spending in 2008-09 ~Rs 49 Lakhs. Current endowment corpus ~Rs 105 lakhs (~US $ 220,000)
