| Directions: | From Kanpur city, take the Grand Trunk Road towards Delhi and drive through the suburbs Rawatpur and Kalyanpur till you reach the main I.I.T. gate on the highway. Turn left into the campus and follow the metalled main road (inside) for about half a mile till you reach a major crossing. Turn right. The entrance to the Academic Area is about 30 yards farther along the road. Enter the gate (No. 1) and go straight to the Faculty Building. Enter through the portico, and take the lift/stairs to the third floor; my office is very close to the lift/stairs. The number is 352 and it has my name on the door. | From Kanpur city,

the campus and follow the metalled main road (inside) for about 50
yards till you spy a narrow brick-pointed lane on the right
(the first such). Turn right into this lane and follow it to the end.
The last house is mine. The number is 301
and
it is painted in white on the gate.
You can take the help of the ubiquitous security personnel (SiS) if you cannot find the house. |
