CDMA networks use code division to separate the signals from all
users. Since in optical domain, it is not possible to have signals
with negative value (intensity is a non-negative entity), the code
cannot have zero crosscorrelation. Consequently, the optical CDMA
systems use psuedo-orthogonal codes known as optical orthogonal codes
(OOC).
