Rajesh M Hegde is currently a Professor in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at IIT  Dharwad  (On Leave from IIT Kanpur). He was the Umang Gupta Chair Professor and the P.K. Kelkar Fellow (2009-13) at IIT Kanpur. His areas of interest include Machine Learning, AI, future wireless networks, pervasive/mobile communication, WSN, IoT, speech/audio processing for ASR and VR, multimodal information fusion. He also has considerable interest in robotics applications.. He has also served as the Head of the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) at IIT Kanpur.
