Conclusion:

In the present work a methodology is formulated and developed for the generation of drawing , designing of bill of materials, and establishing an environment to have link between the two.  Here the drawing generated is linked with the associated database in the environment of AutoCAD.   The link established is via the Part_No,  i.e., the non-graphic entity that is linked in the drawing to the database is the Part_No. The link established makes user to archive the database from both AutoCADR14 environment and DBMS environment (dBASE III PLUS) and any modification made in any one of the environment will be reflected in other environment. This is what our motivation : to make it easier for user to handle database and maintain it working in any environment, i.e.,  dBASE III PLUS or AutoCADR14 and we have achieved our goal by using the same methodology . Database associated with a drawing is linked via a specific key number. For the future work, link can be made for many key numbers such that for different attributes, drawing database will be available for user. Even for certain attributes, databases can be same than for this database related with all drawing can be archived called many-to-many relationship of link with database. Even for certain object part within a certain drawing , database related with that object part can be linked using the same methodology  for the user to concentrate  work with that part only.  This methodology  can be used for different purpose satisfying user objective.
