About Me
Ramanathan Gurunath obtained his Ph.D from the Indian Institute of Science in 1994. After doing postdocs at MIT and the Karolinska Institute, Sweden he joined the department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur in 2000. For a short while (2003-2005) he was a joint faculty in the department of Chemistry and the department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering at IIT Kanpur.

Contributions to the institute
Professor in charge P. K. Kelkar library since February 2015. Implemented the library vision plan. Reduced the power requirement of the P. K. Kelkar Library. Currently involved in implementation of RFID tagging of books and journals in the library.
