About Us

Who are we?


Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is a premier institution of higher technical education and academic research in India. Prof. Mishra serves on the faculty of the Department of Aerospace Engineering. He leads the Combustion Laboratory situated in the premises of the Department. The group members include his research students, laboratory technicians, and the support staff.




What do we do?


Our group is primarily engaged in research on different topics in combustion, including laminar and turbulent flames, atomization and spray combustion, inverse diffusion flame, trapped vortex combustion, and microcombustion. The educational media archived in this website were conceived and created at Combustion Laboratory as part of our efforts to introduce basic combustion experiments to the students interested in combustion studies.
