Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) System

A Programmable Automation Controller (PLC) based control system on a high speed data transfer network and with SCADA system, is used for the centralized monitoring & control of Instruments being used in Experiment Facility. The system is designed to communicate over 10/100M Ethernet. The entire system configured support distributed intelligence i.e. multiple CPU for increased reliability, availability and processing power. The control system is expandable by interconnecting multiple units to form a distributed system utilizing the peer -to-peer communications.

Gas Heaters

It is a indoor type, vertical floor mounted, electric gas/steam heater which is used to heat the flowing stream of air/argon from 20℃ to 200℃ and other electric heater unit is used to heat the flowing stream of air-steam/argon-steam mixture from 200℃ to 400℃.

Process Instruments

Temperature Element and Transmitter

RTD (Temperature Element) has a measurement range of 0-400 0C having an element Pt-100 x 1. It has an accuracy of Pt100±0.2% full scale, thermocouple ±0.3% maximum of full Scale.

Pressure Transmitters

These electronic smart pressure transmitters with digital sensor technology for pressure measurement in high temperature high pressure facility. Transmitters are HART compatible having micro machined silicon sensor that has an excellent immunity to pressure and temperature changes.

Control Valves

Control valves comprises of Helium Flow Control Valve (size 15 and 25 NB), Air Flow Control Valve (size 25NB), Steam Flow Control Valve (size 25NB), Helium Pressure Control Valve (size 15 and 25 NB), Air Pressure Control Valve (size 25NB), Steam Pressure Control Valve (size 25NB), Argon Pressure Control Valve (size 25NB) and Gas Mixture Pressure Control Valve (size 25NB)

Vortex Flow Meter

It is used to measure steam flow, and has a capacity to measure 50kg/hr with an accuracy of ± 1%. Maximum operating pressure and temperature are 5.5 kg/hr 2500 ℃ respectively.

Thermal Mass Flow Meters

In-line and/or insertion type thermal mass flow meter with temperature and pressure compensation. They can measure from 1.5 to 1200 SLPM with an accuracy of ± 0.5%.

Pneumatically controlled gate valves

These valves are designed to operate at a pressure of 11 kg/cm2 , flow of 1200SLPM and temperature of 350 ℃.
