DOWNLOAD CVThe research interest focuses on the fabrication of high performance organic gas sensor which can operate at lower temperatures. The research activities are in the areas of transport phenomena, chemical reaction engineering, materials processing and micro/nano fabrication leading to the technology development for gas sensors. The reaction between toxic gas and the semiconducting gas sensitive material occurs at the grain boundaries of the material which responds as change in conductivity of the material. Various nanostructured materials are thus explored for improvement in response of sensors. These gas sensor can be strong pillar in building smart cities, by applying network of sensors for monitoring the air pollution at a granular level and leakages of the greenhouse gases. Also, the study of charge transport with different models will provide more insights of sensing mechanism.
