Ph.D. Students
I’m always happy to hear from motivated Ph.D. students who enjoy working in applied mathematics, numerical analysis, or scientific computing. Background in PDEs and numerical methods is a plus.
For current Ph.D. students in the Department of Mathematics, to get started, it helps if you have:
Completed at least one of the following with an A grade:- Approximation Theory
- Theoretical Numerical Mathematics
- Numerical Solution of Integral Equations
- Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing I (MTH308)
- Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing II (MTH430)

If you have expertise in high-order numerical methods, approximation theory, or wave scattering problems, I encourage you to get in touch.
