Fulfilling a dream for many JEE aspirants, I had the incredible opportunity to meet Padma Shri H. C. Verma at his inspiring NGO, "Siksha Sopan." As a PhD student, this encounter was truly humbling.
We engaged in a thought-provoking conversation for hours, discussing the importance of nurturing a scientific temper in young minds, all while enjoying a cup of tea.
Beyond the insightful dialogue, Sir Verma generously offered a glimpse into his world. He proudly showcased his organic farm, bursting with freshly grown vegetables like potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and carrots – a testament to his dedication to sustainable living.
Our interaction extended even further, as we embarked on a collaborative project with Sir Verma. We're currently developing in-house experimental devices to facilitate accessible science learning for college students at the Siksha Sopan Ashram, making it easier for them to conduct experiments without any hassle.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience in science education. By creating affordable and easy-to-use experimental setups, we hope to inspire more students to pursue scientific inquiry and research.
The Siksha Sopan Ashram has been doing remarkable work in making education accessible to underprivileged children, and it's an honor to contribute to their mission. Their dedication to sustainable living and holistic education aligns perfectly with our vision of making science education more inclusive and hands-on.
This collaboration has been a humbling experience, reminding me of the real-world impact our scientific knowledge can have when applied thoughtfully for community benefit.
