I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economic Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. I received my PhD from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Connecticut in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Boris Bravo-Ureta and Prof. Farhed Shah.
My research focuses on issues related to agriculture, energy, and the environment of India.I am an applied economist who works with analytical tools like discrete choice models, panel data econometrics, data envelopment analysis, and stochastic frontier analysis as per the requirement of the research question at hand.
I am also interested in the field of public policy analysis. My humble long-term career goal is to participate in policymaking exercises relevant to the sustainable development of resource-poor areas.
