Dr. Ankita Singh

Dr. Ankita did her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. She completed her Ph.D. from the IIT-BHU, Varanasi, in August 2024, on the topic "Layer, Morphology, and Substrate-Dependent Anisotropic, Thermal, and SERS Studies of CVD-Grown 2H-MoS₂". She has published her research in 8 reputed journals, filed one Indian patent, and authored 4 book chapters. Additionally, she has presented her work at several national and international conferences, earning recognition for her contributions. In October 2024, she joined as an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Kanpur.

Dr. Swapnendu Narayan Ghosh

Dr. Swapnendu completed his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Jalpaiguri Govt. Engineering College in 2019. Thereafter, he completed his Ph.D. from IISER Bhopal in August 2025 on the topic “Localized Electrochemical Modification of Chromium Films for Direct Write Lithography Applications.” He has published his research works in several reputed journals, filed one Indian patent and has presented his work at various international conferences. After his Ph.D., he worked as a Principal Project Scientist at IIT Delhi, focusing on the development of superconducting photon detectors. In February 2026, he joined IIT Kanpur as a Project Postdoctoral Fellow.

Dr. Rahul Vishwakarma (Co-supervised with Dr. K. V. Srivastava (EE))

Rahul Vishwakarma obtained a B.E. degree in ECE from Government Engineering College Bilaspur, India, in 2013. He then pursued an M.Tech. in RF and Microwave Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, he held the position of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Technical Education and Research, SOA University, in Bhubaneswar, India. He has recently completed his PhD from IIT Kanpur and is currently a FARE fellow.

Modassir Anwer

Modassir Anwer received his B.Tech. degree in ECE from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India, in 2015, and his M.Tech. degree in Nano Science and Technology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 2017. He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis at IIT Kanpur and is currently a FARE fellow. His research interests include epitaxial growth, doping, detailed material characterization, and high-power device demonstration of ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor materials, primarily Ga2O3, In2O3, and their alloys using low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD).

Deepak Kumar

Deepak has completed his B. Tech degree in ECE from MAKAUT (formerly WBUT) Kolkata and M.Tech in ECE from NIT Meghalaya. His general area of interest is in semiconductor devices and their fabrication especially ultra wide-bandgap semiconductors and optoelectronics devices based on them. (Linkedin)

Naheeda Reshi (Co-supervised with Dr. S. Sahay (EE))

Naheeda received B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from Kashmir University, J&K and M.Tech in ECE with specialization of VLSI from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. During her Master’s, she worked on ‘’Reliability Investigation of Nanoscale Junctionless Transistors’’. Her present research focuses on Fabrication and Simulation of Coupled oscillator based Neuromorphic Computing systems. Apart from her academic curriculum, she likes to explore new places.

Ananya Borkotoky

Alok Kumar Yadav

Alok completed B.Sc. from Shri Ram Chandra Singh Mahavidya, Rudauli in 2018 and M.Sc. (Physics) from Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi in 2021. He did M.Tech. in Nano Science and Technology from Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune working on II-VI core-shell quantum dots. His present research is focused on dynamic control of electromagnetic emission using switchable surfaces.

Krithik Raj K

Krithik Raj completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Presidency College, Chennai, and his Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Madras, Chennai. Souradeep Saha

Souradeep is from Midnapore, West Bengal. He completed B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur in 2019. Then he joined Tata Power in the profile of Lead Engineer, Transmission Operations. Later he decided to pursue higher studies and shift his career to academia. Aryan
