For Participants

General requirements:

1. Applicants should be engaged in application areas requiring topographic data and have exposure to remote sensing, GIS, and GPS technologies.

2. Participants will be selected by a committee whose decision will be final. No canvassing will be entertained.

3. Please inform your acceptance at the earliest as after the last date the seat will be made available to the person on waiting list.

4. For convenience we would like to categorise the participants as follows. Please note the category you belong to as this will help in filling application form.

Participant’s category	Details
Indian participant	Senior students, young faculty members, scientists, and officials from government organisations. (Online application should be supported by a forwarding letter from the head of department of applicant.)
Overseas participant	Overseas senior students, young faculty members and scientists working in Universities or scientific organisations, but not in industry. (Online application should be supported by a forwarding letter from the head of department/supervisor of applicant.)
Industry participant	A few seats are also available for participants from industry. First come first serve will be the basis for selection in this category.

Course fee

The following course fee will cover the boarding and lodging charges, registration fee, course material etc. Accommodation will be provided on a sharing basis in double bedded rooms of Visitor’s Hostel IIT Kanpur. Meals will be available at Visitor’s Hostel and are covered in course fee.

Course fee is to be sent to following address through a demand draft in the name of ‘The Registrar, IIT Kanpur’ along with a covering letter giving details of applicant. Course fee is to be sent after confirmation of your selection.

Indian participant	Use the Online application form to submit your application. Also send a forwarding letter from your Head of Department on the given proforma.
Overseas participant	Use the Online application form to submit your application. Also send a forwarding letter from your Head of Department/supervisor on the given proforma.
Industry participant	Use the Online application form to submit your application.
