COURSE OBJECTIVES |
The primary objectives of the course are as follows:
-To strengthen the activity of Fly Ash Unit of Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India (http://www.dst.gov.in/fly-ash-unit-1)
-To further strengthen the protocol that has been signed between India and Russia for export of Indian expertise and know-how, including technologies to Russia and to set up "Fly Ash Mission" on the lines of "Fly Ash Mission India (http://www.dst.gov.in/sites/default/files/fly_ash_signing_brief_with_photo.pdf)
- Dr. T. Ramasami, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, and V. V. Nagovitsin, Chairman of the Inter-regional Association of the Economic Cooperation of the ConstituentEntities of the Russian Federation signed the Protocol on Fly Ash in presence of Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India and Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, The President of Russia at The Kremlin on 16th December, 2011 after the bilateral summit level talks between the two sides
- Exposing participants to the fundamentals of fly ash as a highly useful engineering and reinforcement material
- Building in confidence and capability amongst the participants in the application of fly ash in plastics, cement, and concrete
- Exposure to practical problems and their solutions, through case studies and live projects in Fly ash as an asset management,
- Enhancing the capability of the participants to identify, control and remove fly ash utilization / man-agement-related problems in engineering systems
