Through our research, our hope is to provide India and the world with radiation measurement solutions
that can help in the areas of security, medicine, and energy-production. We work
with electro-mechanically cooled HPGe detectors in various source-geometry configurations.
We are working with other detector systems, such as scintillation detectors, in our laboratory for various applications as well.
My team is also working on numerical methods and with simulation tools (MCNP, GEANT4, ASTEC) to solve current and foreseen radiation transport problems.
In the past, I have also worked at Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan, Oak Ridge National Labs, Bhabha Atomic Research Center -India, Hitachi-GE Japan, General Atomics.
EXPERIENCE AREAS: Radiation Measurements, Radiation Shielding, Nuclear Nonproliferation & Safeguards, Neutron Transport, Mathematical Modeling and Development, Probabilistic Risk Analysis.
