Electroceramics Research Lab

Welcome to Electroceramics Research Laboratory. Our group aims to design, synthesize and characterize advanced ceramic materials and devices for use in clean energy technologies, which are crucial for addressing the climate crisis. Specifically, we study the defects and ionic/electronic transport in ceramics and their integration into electrochemical devices such as rechargeable batteries, solid-oxide fuel cells, supercapacitors, etc. One of the primary themes of our research is to design high energy density sodium-ion batteries either by engineering advanced materials or by constructing hierarchical porous nanoarchitecture electrodes. Besides, we focused on developing materials for high-performance solid-oxide fuel cells and supercapacitors.
Our research laboratory is located in Western Laboratory 109 (WL 209), IIT Kanpur.
