- Mr. Indranuj Dey successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Wave interaction with plasmas confined in multicusp magnetic fields" on November 2, 2011.
- A research article "Penetration and screening of perpendicularly launched electromagnetic waves through bounded supercritical plasma confined in multicusp magnetic field" by Mr. Indranuj Dey and Sudeep Bhattacharjee is selected for cover page of the journal "Physics of Plasmas" Volume 18, Number 2, 2011.
- Mr. Jose V. Mathew successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Multi-element focused ion beams from intense microwave plasmas: physics and applications" on December 22, 2010.
