Research Areas:

• Policy research: One of my primary current research interests and area of focus is to work on carrying out techno-commercial scenario-based analysis in the sustainability domain. These analyses aim to create policy suggestions for government bodies, which can help bring out better policies. Some of the focus areas are:
• Ethanol Blending: Carbon emissions, impact of government policies, benchmarking with best international practices, alternative models for value chain.
• Steel Sector decarbonisation: Create potential pathways for decarbonisation of the sector, understanding world best practices, LCA analysis.
• Energy Transition Plan: Understand the requirement of storage in the Indian context. Create renewable energy adoption transition plans for key states of India.
• Solar Irradiance Variation and its impact on the power generation capacity of solar plants: Radiation mapping, understanding impact of pollutants, use ML techniques for predicting solar radiation and its impact on solar plant generation.
• Net Zero buildings and Campuses: Design concepts for Net-zero buildings through energy efficiency measures and renewable energy integration.
• Flexible Solar Cells: Design and develop flexible solar cell based solution for Indian context.
