Dr. Abhilash Patel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Control Engineering Synthetic Biology Group at Imperial College London. He did his PhD from the Electrical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in 2021. He has received the M.Tech. degree in Control and Automation from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, in 2015 and B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, India, in 2012. His research interests include Control and Dynamical Systems in Biology, Systems and Synthetic Biology, Robust Control Theory, and Wide-Area Control of Power Systems.
