My research intent is to comprehend diverse designs in nature that are time-tested and robust, and implement assimilated concepts for optimal form design in engineering problems. I solve design problems through innovative/inverse design in Compliant and Robotic Systems (CARS). Industrial applications are predominant in product design, precision instrumentation, sensing/actuation, MEMS/NEMS, humanoid robotics, automated highway systems, exploration, surveillance, transportation, and in prosthetic, orthotic and exo-skeletal devices.
