(a) 'National Best Metallurgist Award' by Ministry of Steel and Mines, 1995
(b) 'Distinguished Alumnus Award', Department of Metallurgical Engineering,
Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
(c) Delivered the presitgious N.P.Gandhi Memorial Lecture 2010 of the Indian Institute of Metals at Bangalore
(d) Developed "Beta Supersonic Control", now widely used in steel plants for on-line dynamic process control of BOF process, in India and abroad
(e) Developed the famous "Multi-component mixed transport control theory", co-author: Prof. D.G.C. Robertson, Imperial college, London, which is
used all over the world for developing on-line dynamic
process control models in various unit processes in steel industry.
