Mathematical model of a premixed flame
Assumptions:
One dimensional steady subsonic flow.
Properties of component gases depend upon temperature.
Ideal gas behavior is valid for all the gases.
Flame is freely propagating.
No heat losses by radiation occur from the flame.
Model:
Governing equations of continuity, momentum, energy, and species are written.
Chemical kinetics is modeled using a readymade mechanism called GRI2.11 [1].
Boundary conditions:
Inflow boundary:
Known inlet velocity
Known temperature
Known mass fractions of CH
