Conference
Organized
From May 25-29, 2016
International Conference on Nanotechnology for Better Living - ICNBL-2016
was held from May 25 to May 29, 2016. It has been a land mark scientific
event jointly organized by National Institute of Technology Srinagar and
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
In ICNBL-2016, more than 400 delegates were registered for the conference
from across the world making it a mega event of its kind in this part of the
country ever. The conference events comprised of tutorials, keynote
lectures, plenary talks, invited talks, oral and poster sessions, pertaining
to the theme of conference. The speakers included distinguished scientists,
science advisors, editors of reputed international journals and eminent
scientists throughout the world. Special sessions for women, DRDO/ISRO were
held besides 45 technical sessions for the complete 5 days. Distinguished
lecture by eminent scientists were arranged for the school children of the
valley during tutorial session.
The inaugural
programme of ICNBL-2016 was graced by the presence of,
Ms. Mehbooba Mufti Honorable Chief Minister J & K accompanied
by eminent officers and academicians of repute including Prof. K L Chopra (Padmashri)
whereby participants, organizers and delegates drew lot of inspiration and
encouragement for recognition of their contribution towards successful
conduct and culmination of this august event. The patrons Dr. M J Zarabi,
Prof. I Manna and Prof. R Gupta received the chief guest and guest of Honour
at SKICC Srinagar which was followed by two Key note speakers. The Guests
interacted with the delegates during the gala dinner at Centaur Hotel,
Srinagar, the most world famous tourist place Dal lake.
