Nanostructured Materials

The limitation of polymer particles at nanometer scale is its high molecular weight (MW), i.e., 1 x 105 to 1 106 (weight average molecular weight) and van der Waals forces of interaction. Only few polymers i.e., polystyrene, polyethylene glycol, etc. are available at nano scale, but their molecular weights are less than 20,000. The ability to manipulate single or few chains polymer particles will lead researches to consider it as a promising candidate for nanostructure building blocks, etc. In these perspectives, the goal of present research work is to synthesis high MW polymer at nano and micro scales without disturbing its performance.
