  • • B.H.U. Medal” and “R.B.G. Modi Medal” for standing first at the B.Tech. V year in Elect. Engg. Exam., 1976.
  • • “Lala Balak Ramji Kohinoor Memorial Medal” for highest marks at B. Tech. V. year Exam. 1976, amongst branches of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engg.
  • • Declared as “Best Tutor” and “Outstanding Instructor” for UG core courses and also PG courses based on students evaluation almost in each semester (since years 1989-90, till 2017-18) at IIT Kanpur.
  • • Declared as one of the five top ranked and one of the three top ranked instructors and the courses offered during Jan’97 and May’97 terms, respectively in the school (SERD) at AIT.
  • • Paper entitled “Reactive Power Planning for secure operation of Power system” got award of “Certificate of merit” in International R & D session organized by C.B.I.P. at New Delhi, (India) during Oct 9-12, 1995.
  • • Khosla Research Commendation Certificate of University of Roorkee ( 1998 ) on paper entitled ‘Improved Voltage and Reactive Power Distribution Factors for Outage Studies’, co-authored with S.N.Singh.
  • • Hari Ohm Ashram Prerit Bhaikaka Inter-University Smarak Trust Prize for the year 1997-98 for paper “Estimation of Closest Hopf Bifurcation in Electric Power System”, co-authored with S.K.Joshi.
